Description

Lahaina Restoration Foundation presents a free, monthly concert outdoors on the lawn of Baldwin Home Museum at the corner of Front and Dickenson Streets. Hawaiian musicians perform in the kanikapila style on the last Thursday of each month. A tranquil setting of the historic Baldwin Home makes the perfect backdrop for an evening concert of contemporary and traditional Hawaiian music. Seated on the lanai with the audience gathered on the lawn, Hawaiian artists share their music, vocal talent and love for Hawaii. Chair seating is limited. Low beach chairs, mats and blankets are welcome. Please check our website each month for the name and bio of the performing artist.

Hooray for Hollywood!  The Maui Pops Orchestra presents music from your favorite movie scores covering several decades, including well-known composers John Williams, The Beatles’ John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and Henry Mancini.  If you don’t remember the composer, you will surely know the familiar music of Star Wars, James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many others.  With Howard Dicus as Master of Ceremonies, the Maui Pops will bring out all the bells and whistles for this fun program.

Hula is combined with modern dance. Rich costumes, lighting and stage design are woven together into a filagree of fantastic images drawn from Hawaiian legend and history.
